Our members will gather on November 1, 2025 at 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (U.S. Eastern) by Zoom for our semi-annual membership meeting.

This is our time to act. We have never been more crucial to our movement than right now. As an elder, you know more than more activists in this country since you’ve been around so much longer. That knowledge is the essential ingredient that the movement needs now.
Recently the vice president of the United States pledged to "go after" our organizations and movement. He said they are going to shut down “organizations promoting violence and supporting terrorism”. He means you; he means us. Then his boss, Trump, actually issued an order classifying "Antifa" as a "domestic terrorist organization". Well, Antifa doesn't exist as a national organization (it's this slogan that unites all these local groups of anti-fascists; some local unaffiliated groups may use it in their name), but that doesn’t matter because that's not who Trump is talking about; he's talking about you. . . .us.
How do we know this? Why does it resonate with you? Because many of us have been through this before—we’re elders who have confronted vicious repression in the ’70s and ’80s. We understand how it starts; we are sensitive to the language, the tone, the reasoning. Without that experience, a lot of activists in the social justice movement don’t have any idea of what’s coming.
This is why our presence in the movement is critical. We're going to discuss that presence at our next membership meeting.
This is the movement for us to do what we're here to do: to play our role as elders. Now!
